Volunteer Training Sessions:

Thirty (30) hours of training, including in-class sessions, at-home reading and homework, one (1) court visit, and a confidentiality oath.

Tues. Oct. 19th 6:00-8:00 pm – Introducing the Law, the Child Protection System & the Courts

Thurs. Oct. 21st 6:00-8:00 pm – Developing Cultural Competence

Tues. Oct. 26th 6:00-9:00 pm – Understanding Families – Part 1 & 2

Thurs. Oct. 28th 6:00-8:00 pm – Understanding Children

Thurs. Nov. 4th 6:00-8:00 pm – Communicating as a CASA Volunteer, Practicing the CASA Volunteer Role – Gathering Informatioin

Tues. Nov. 9th 6:00-8:00 pm – Practicing the CASA Volunteer Role – Gathering Information (cont.)

Thurs. Nov. 11th 6:00-8:00 pm – Practicing the CASA Volunteer Role – Reporting & Monitoring

Tues. Nov. 16th 6:00-8:00 pm – Putting It All Together

Wed. Nov. 17th 7:00-9:00 pm – Graduation and Swearing In by Judge
